1. Engagement Nature & Scope
Simen Lie provides independent, professional technical consulting, system architecture guidance, and remote video coaching for faith, non-profit, and community organizations. Services are delivered exclusively via digital communication routes, including video conferencing (Zoom, Google Meet) and digital schematics.
2. Delivery Model & Remote Operations
All coaching sessions, gear evaluations, and software configuration walk-throughs are conducted remotely from Oslo, Norway. The operator maintains no physical showroom, retail outlet, or domestic training facility within Malaysia. Client agrees to participate in remote testing via suitable internet-connected workstations.
3. Independent Equipment Advisory
Recommendations regarding cameras, microphones, video switchers, and cabling are made in an unbiased advisory capacity based on acoustic and visual parameters. The operator does not sell, ship, or warranty third-party hardware. Clients procure hardware independently from authorized local or international retailers.
4. Third-Party Platforms and Infrastructure
The practice has no operational control over third-party streaming destinations, including YouTube, Facebook Live, OBS Project, or local Malaysian internet service providers (e.g., Unifi, Maxis, Time). While we assist in configuring optimal bitrate and buffer parameters, we cannot guarantee third-party platform uptime or ISP transmission consistency.
5. Pricing, Quotations & Cancellation
The initial 30-minute discovery evaluation is provided completely free of charge (0 MYR). Any subsequent technical coaching or custom schematic production is scoped in advance with an itemized written proposal and agreed fixed fee. Clients may cancel or reschedule planned remote video sessions with at least 24 hours prior notice.
6. Intellectual Property
Technical blueprints, custom OBS profile templates, and standard operating procedure (SOP) run-of-show checklists prepared for the client are licensed for perpetual internal use by the contracting organization and its volunteer media personnel.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the commercial laws of Norway, without prejudice to mandatory statutory consumer protection provisions applicable in the client's place of operation (including Malaysia).
